The Ministry of Local Government and Rural Development wishes to advise the general public that the following is the approved list of public holidays for the year 2017:-

Blantyre City Council would like to inform members of the public especially motorists that a section of Masauko Chipembere Highway from Clock Tower to Maselema Roundabout on the lane from Blantyre to Limbe will be closed on Wednesday, 05 July2017 between 9am and 11am to allow Malawi Defense Force to conduct an Independence Day celebration parade. Motorists from both directions will be allowed to use the lane from Limbe to Blantyre during that period.
